Neutralizing an undesirable color cast using a filter

  1. Under image adjustments, open the photo filter
    Menu: Image -> Adjustments -> Photo filter

    or

    If you want to do this non-destructively, then create an adjustment layer instead.
    Menu: Layer -> New Adjustment Layer -> Photo filter
  2. In the photo filter dialog box select the Color swatch and click on the color box. This will bring up the color swatch. Then using the color picker of the area of the photo you wish to conteract.
  3. Add 180 degrees to the hue (‘H’) modulo 360 to select a photo filter that will neutralize the selected color.
  4. Use the density slider to select the strength of the filter.
  5. Select ‘OK’ when done.
